I caught the tail-end of a news item earlier this week which said something like “hard times are leading to hard hearts”. It also said something about the employed are not being happy with ‘free-loading’ jobless. Even though i didn’t get the full details of the research, i still found it very interesting especially at this time of year.
Christmas is characterised by giving. This began with God who gave us His only begotten Son. Human beings caught on over the years and have been using the period to exhibit the spirit of generosity. Hard times should not be allowed to stop that. Remember that you can’t receive with a clenched fist.
