Figure Out The “WHY” of Your Financial Situation

I had the opportunity to minister in the Word in church last night where i spoke on the topic “What Real Worship Entails” – You don’t need a reason to worship God.

During the message i related a conversation i had with my son David. David informed me a few days ago that when he grows up, he would be very rich to which i asked him a simple question -  “WHY?” instead of my usual “How do you intend to accomplish that?”

Almost everything you want to accomplish in life needs to have strong reason for accomplishing it. Without this you will somehow lose sight of the “prize” and ultimately lose interest soon after that. The importance of setting any goal is to motivate yourself and you have to use your “why” to continue motivating yourself periodically. Zig Ziglar said “Motivation is like taking a bath; If you stop doing it, you begin to stink!”

It is your duty to keep the reason(s) for your wanting to become debt-free in front of you constantly – like a picture pasted on the fridge. If you haven’t thought of any yet, take a few moments to imagine what you think your life might be like without any debt. Make that your goal at least a first goal; i’m sure others will follow to give enoiugh reasons to begin your journey to financial freedom.
