Supermarket Bogof or is it Rip-off? Do The Maths.

For the un-initiated Bogof is ‘Buy One Get One Free’ but without your “maths-cap” on, the Bogof can easily turn to Rip-off.

The next time you see a ‘three for £2′ deal in a supermarket, take a while to do the maths. Retail giants are turning Bogof into rip-off after advertising special offers that mean the customer pays the same or even more. 8-O

For example, Asda is offering two packs of sausages for just £3 – but the pack cost only £1 each! At Tesco online, Rachel’s organic ‘Little Rachels’ Yogurts are normally £1.49 each but are offered at two for £3 – that’s 2p more. No wonder they say “Every Little Helps.” Yes, it helps them not you.

Seeing a sweet-looking deal at your local store does not mean you should just go for it. Don’t get off-budget because of some no-good deal. Do the math and don’t get ripped-off.

Happy shopping  ,
