A school bus driver from the Chicago suburb of Zion in the United States has legally changed his name to “In God We Trust”. A Lake county circuit judge approved Steve Kreuscher’s name change petition last Friday. The 57-year-old’s first name was changed to “In God”, while his last name was changed to “We Trust”.
I don’t know Mr We Trust’s reason(s) for changing his name but i know that “the taste of the pudding is in the eating”. Americans placed that phrase ‘IN GOD WE TRUST’ on their currency which rightly indicates that if you can’t trust God with your finances, there is no point in adding God to your name.
For Christians, paying the Tithe (10% of income/profit) to the church as God has directed is the surest way of showing you really trust in God. Tithing is NOT church taxation but it unlocks the door our hearts to enjoy God more fully. God can’t wait to bless us but He wants to see if we will take Him seriously. If God is first in our lives then in God we REALLY trust.
