There is a financial education game we play about once a month as a family called Cashflow 101. It was created by Robert Kiyosaki – the author of the bestseller “Rich Dad, Poor Dad“.
From the day we played the game for the first time 2 years ago, our youngest son almost always seems to get out of the ‘rat race’ first. (See my review of the Cashflow game here). I started thinking about this last night – when he won again!!.
I came to the conclusion that it was because he was born just before our mindset about money changed for the better. So he grew up knowing the actual meanings of assets and liabilities as things that put money into your pockets or take money from you – respectively.
Many adults in the world still need to learn how money works – all over again – as my wife and i did years ago. This might help your financial education.

Thanks for posting this blog. I had almost forgotten about Rich Dad, Poor Dad and Cashflow 101. But they are both great. When I played Cashflow 101 about 4 years ago it completely changed our way of looking at money and it’s thanks to that, that we’ve made some investments that have really paid off (and some that haven’t, but we didn’t lose money and overall the average has been excellent).
People really need to change the way they look at money and getting educated, having guides and steps laid out, can make all the difference.
